How we maintain and update your restaurant website

Scheduled Maintenance Windows

To ensure your restaurant website remains secure, up-to-date, and performing optimally, we conduct regular maintenance. Our scheduled maintenance window occurs between the 11th and 20th of each month.

What Happens During Maintenance

During the maintenance window, we may perform any of the following activities:

  • Security updates to the website infrastructure
  • Performance optimizations
  • Updates to the content management system (Sanity CMS)
  • Updates to the website framework and dependencies
  • Backup verification and testing
  • Implementation of new features (if applicable)

Important: Most maintenance activities are performed without any website downtime. Your website will remain accessible to your customers throughout most maintenance procedures.

Potential Impact

No Impact

Most maintenance activities have no visible impact on your website's functionality or availability.

Minor Impact

Some updates may cause brief periods (1-5 minutes) of slower performance or limited functionality.

Rare Downtime

In rare cases, major updates may require brief downtime (typically less than 15 minutes).

Notification Policy

We follow these notification guidelines for maintenance activities:

  • Standard Maintenance: No notification is provided for routine maintenance that doesn't impact website availability.
  • Minor Impact Maintenance: For maintenance that may cause brief performance issues, we'll send an email notification 3 days in advance.
  • Downtime Required: For the rare cases when downtime is necessary, we'll provide at least 7 days advance notice via email with specific timing details.

Emergency Maintenance

In the event of critical security vulnerabilities or other urgent issues, we may need to perform emergency maintenance outside the scheduled window. We will make every effort to:

  • Notify you as soon as possible
  • Perform the maintenance during low-traffic hours for your restaurant
  • Minimize any disruption to your business
